Here we are in New York

Actually we’ve been here in New York for something like 3 months now, but this is my first post-move blog. I can’t believe I’ve been such a stranger to my own blog. I’m sure no one ever stops by now. Well, regardless, I am back. I don’t know how often I’ll be back, but I’m back today.

I love our little old house and our village. Nyack is full of charms–plenty of Victorian homes, lovely trees, and quaint shops, especially antique shops. I have yet to actually buy any antiques, but I enjoy looking. Technically we live in South Nyack, though.

Brian is enjoying working with the New York office–he splits his time between a client near White Plains and the Manhattan office. The boys are also settling in well. Ewan is finally starting to say some more words (ball is a particular favorite and he loves playing with little footballs–we think he’ll be our jock). Isaac is more interested in music; he’s been asking for a guitar for Christmas–the first thing he’s ever asked for, actually. So far all I’ve gotten is a recorder (not a tape recorder but one of those little horn things kids play in elementary school) but I’m finding it hard to find an age appropriate guitar that’s not just a toy. My friend Bonni just got him a little music set that included a harmonica, though, and he loves that.

OK, so I don’t have much significant to say today–I think I’m too tired. So I’m going to turn in and hopefully write more soon.
